A story about power and progress, and two women’s journeys to find and maintain either

Runtime approximately  2 hour (and one 15 minute intermission)

Zoe is a young black student at a liberal arts college. What begins as a polite clash in perspectives of the founding fathers between her and her liberal, tenured professor explodes into tightrope of what it means to Hear and what it means to Listen. Join us as we experiment with the intersectionality of power, age, race, and storytelling.

“Burgess generates a verbal whirlwind with a words-per-minute velocity that rivals Aaron Sorkin.” – The Boston Globe

A barnburner of a play […] One of the best plays I’ve seen about who gets to tell the story of America, and how.” – The Washington Post
